Our May celebration offer: Two of Margaret’s favourite Pinot Noirs
Her absolute favourite, was our 2012 Pinot Noir. But we don’t have any left to sell. But the next is from a similar season – 2017. Both were cool, damp years. Challenging years that demanded much more work in the vineyard. But the results are elegant wines with a hint of spice.
Her second wine is the 2018 Pinot Noir. She thought it was good at the time it was first released. But trying it again recently, it is drinking so much better. A bigger wine than the 2017, more voluptuous. Cameron Douglas (Master Sommelier) assessed this wine as being best from late 2022 to 2028+. So so still some time to go.
