Blue Earth Olive Oils

We specialise in extra virgin olive oil blends that give more depth and complexity to the oils. Choose from our three distinct blends to best suit your palate and cooking style.

Whether purchasing a small 250-ml bottle of oil to give as a gift or sample or stocking up your kitchen with a one-litre bottle, all our olive oils have a best-before date of two years following the harvest, provided they are kept away from heat and light. Make sure that you have a supply on hand.

Every year we adjust our blends depending on what the season gives us. 2025 has been a very good year for olive oil. Beautiful weather at the time of fruit set, so lots of olives. Sun and heat to give us depth of flavour and good polyphenol levels. Enough rain, helped out by some irrigation, to plump up the fruit. Very active discouragement of hungry birds. The result is that we can offer you four beautiful extra virgin olive oils this season.

Classic: A Barnea-based oil with Tuscan varieties added to give it some spice. A fruity oil with a long lingering finish.

Intense: A gutsy oil that beautifully complements food with robust flavours.

Tuscan: A blend of Frantoio and Leccino, with a lovely peppery finish

Koroneiki: A beautifully balanced smooth olive oil that complements foods like roasted asparagus, avocado, guacamole or leek and potato soup.

Shipping within New Zealand is free for orders of NZD $200 or more.

 

All our olive oils exceed international and New Zealand standards for certification of extra virgin olive oils. The certification results of the 2024 oils can be seen here. The certification results of the 2025 oils will be available when the process is completed.
